Currently researching the Junín Virus glycoprotein complex. Studying the structure-function relationship of the GPC to understand the role of the Stable Signal Peptide in host cell entry and membrane fusion. Assisted in designing and optimizing a protocol to express and purify the Junín virus glycoprotein complex and purifying the GP2 and SSP subunits.

Researching with the Jinwoo Lee lab on the SARS-CoV-2 fusion domain, observing how mutation influences the function of the protein to gain a deeper understanding of the virus fusion mechanism on the host cell membranes.
